Terms of Use
The rules for using this site, written in plain English rather than boilerplate. The short version: this is an independent guide, the information is offered as-is, prices and times change, and your booking contract is with someone else.
Last updated: July 2026.
1. What this agreement covers
These terms govern your use of the website at kos.boats ("this site"). "We" and "us" mean the independent publisher of the site, reachable at info@kos.boats. By reading these pages you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
This is a plain-English statement written by the site owner. It is not legal advice, and nothing here overrides consumer rights you hold under the law that applies to you.
2. What this site is
kos.boats is an independent information website about boat trips and things to do on Kos. It is not the official website of any tour operator, boat company, ferry line, port authority or attraction, and is not affiliated with any of them. We sell nothing, take no bookings and issue no tickets — see about this guide.
3. Information is provided as it is
The content here is published in good faith and researched from operators' public listings and official sources, but it is provided "as is" and without warranty that it is accurate, complete or current.
In particular, we give no warranty on prices, departure and opening times, schedules, routes, inclusions, age limits or availability. Those change constantly on Kos, often because of the weather. Every figure here is an indicative range at the time of writing, not an offer or a quotation. Confirm the current details on the operator's own booking page before you travel or pay.
4. Nothing here is professional advice
Pages about border crossings, entry requirements, boat licensing, safety and health are general orientation, not legal, immigration, medical or maritime advice. For anything that turns on your nationality, your licence or your health, check the authority that governs it — your own government's travel advice, the relevant consulate or the Greek port authority.
5. Links to other websites
This site links out to resellers, operators, official bodies and reference sources. We do not control them, are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the far side of it. Once you follow an outbound link, the destination's own terms apply to you.
6. Affiliate links and commission
Booking links point to GetYourGuide, an authorised reseller, and are affiliate links carrying a tracking parameter. If you book after following one we may receive a commission. You pay the same price as you would going there directly, and the commission does not influence what is recommended — see the affiliate disclosure.
Any purchase is a contract between you and GetYourGuide and/or the operator, under their terms. We are not a party to it and cannot amend, cancel or refund it; complaints and refunds go to the seller, as the contact page explains.
7. Intellectual property
The written content, design and code of this site are ours and protected by copyright. You may read the pages, print them for your own trip, and quote a short extract with a credit and a link back. You may not republish, sell or systematically copy the content. Operator names and trade marks belong to their owners and are used descriptively.
8. Photographs and licensing
Most photographs here are other people's work, used under Creative Commons licences. Photographer, licence and a link to the original file are listed for every image on the image credits page. They are not ours to sublicense: to reuse one, follow the licence on its source page, not these terms. If you believe an image is wrongly attributed or wrongly used, write to info@kos.boats and it will be corrected or taken down.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything published here — a missed boat or flight, a price or schedule that has changed since publication, a trip cancelled for weather, a refused border crossing, or any injury on an activity you found here and booked elsewhere.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your remedies against an operator or reseller are unaffected.
10. Acceptable use
Do not disrupt the site or the server it runs on, do not run automated tools that degrade it for other readers, and do not use the content to pass yourself off as an official ticket seller.
11. Privacy
What is and is not collected when you read these pages — including what third-party booking widgets do — is set out on the privacy page, which forms part of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the site's publisher is established, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, that does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer protections of your own country of residence.
13. Changes to these terms
The site is edited continuously and these terms may change with it. The current version is always the one at this address, dated at the top; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
14. Contact
