Booking links on this site go to GetYourGuide and are affiliate links. If you book through one, kos.boats may earn a commission. You pay the same price, and it has no bearing on what the guide recommends.
The disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. Booking links point to GetYourGuide, an authorised reseller of tours and tickets, and they carry a partner code that identifies kos.boats as the referring site. If you book something after following one, we may receive a commission from GetYourGuide.
That link is a live example: GetYourGuide's Kos page with our partner code attached. Every
commercial link on the site is built the same way and marked in the page's code as
sponsored, so browsers, search engines and anyone reading the source can see
exactly what it is.
It costs you nothing extra
You pay exactly the same price as you would by going to GetYourGuide directly and searching for the trip yourself. The commission comes out of the reseller's margin, not your fare, and removes no discount or promotion you would otherwise get. If you would rather not use an affiliate link, go straight to the operator's own site — nothing in this guide is hidden behind one.
What it does not change
Commission does not decide what appears on this site. Nobody pays to be featured, no operator has been offered a placement, and no page has ever been written or edited in exchange for money, a free trip or a discount. Requests for paid inclusion get declined.
The visible test is what the guide recommends when the answer is free: the no-ticket thermal pool at Embros Therma, the peacock forest in Plaka, the public bus instead of a transfer, and most of the beaches page, which no operator sells tickets to. Pages also say when a paid trip is not worth booking. None of that earns anything.
We are independent of every operator
kos.boats is not owned by, employed by, invested in or acting as agent for any tour operator, boat company, ferry line, port authority or attraction on Kos, and is not the official website of any of them. It sells nothing and holds no customer data — your contract is always with GetYourGuide or the operator. Why we spell this out
Because a financial relationship between a publisher and a seller is something you are entitled to know before you click. The US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guides require clear and conspicuous disclosure of a material connection between a reviewer and a seller, and EU and UK consumer-protection rules take the same line on commercial intent that is not obvious to the reader. Beyond the rules, it is the honest way to run a guide that makes recommendations for a living.
