Image Credits & Licences
Most photographs on this site were taken by other people and are used under Creative Commons licences, which require attribution. This page names the photographer and licence for each one and links to the original file.
How to read this page
Almost every photograph on kos.boats was taken by someone else and is used under a Creative Commons licence. Those licences require the photographer to be credited and the licence named, so this page lists, for each image: what it shows, the file name it is stored under, the photographer as credited by the source, the licence, and a link to the original file page where the full licence text and the photographer's own attribution string live.
Two things follow from that. First, these photographs are not ours to sublicense — if you want to reuse one, go to the source page and comply with the licence there, not with our terms of use. Second, licences marked BY-SA are share-alike: a derivative work you publish has to carry the same licence.
Photographs are illustrative. A picture used on a page is not proof that the scene is on Kos, that the boat shown is the one you will board, or that conditions will look like that on your day. Where an image comes from elsewhere in the Aegean or beyond, the source page linked below says so plainly.
Spotted a bad credit?
If a photographer is credited wrongly, a licence is listed incorrectly, or an image should not be here at all, email info@kos.boats with the file name from the table. Attribution problems are fixed on sight, and an image will be removed on request from its copyright holder without argument.

Credits are recorded when an image is added to the site. Where a field is blank above, the source record is incomplete rather than the work being unattributed — tell us and we will chase the original.

All written content on this site is original and belongs to kos.boats; the terms of use set out what you may do with it. The site's own logo, favicon and design are original work and are not covered by any Creative Commons licence. There are no external fonts, libraries or tracking scripts to credit — the privacy page explains what does load from elsewhere.
